The skeletal remains of a submerged village have resurfaced at Indonesia's Karian Reservoir after falling water levels during the dry season exposed the long-drowned settlement. Drone footage captured the eerie re-emergence of the ruins as water levels dropped by approximately 80 centimetres. Officials have sought to reassure the public that the reservoir — a large dam facility in Banten province, west of Jakarta — remains within safe operating limits despite the seasonal decline.
