The president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, has said he would fully cooperate with any independent corruption inquiry into the organisation, as a bitter dispute escalates over the decision to strip Senegal of the right to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and award it to Morocco. Senegal has challenged the move before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), and a ruling from the international tribunal is pending. Motsepe, who has been touring Dakar and Rabat in an attempt to ease tensions, pledged to abide by whatever decision CAS reaches, though critics warn the affair has already dealt a serious blow to CAF's credibility.
