In Khan Younis (a city in the southern Gaza Strip), children who lost limbs during Israel's ongoing war on Gaza are participating in a swimming programme designed to help them rebuild confidence and physical mobility. Gaza has the highest number of child amputees per capita in the world, with an estimated 4,000 children having lost limbs since the conflict began. The initiative represents a rare effort to provide structured rehabilitation for young war survivors in a territory where medical infrastructure has been severely damaged.
