A 71-year-old Malaysian man has been arrested after a shooting at a restaurant in Kota Tinggi, a district in the southern Malaysian state of Johor, left three people dead on Sunday. The victims — two Malaysian men and a foreign woman, aged between 37 and 63 — were killed with a shotgun and pronounced dead at the scene; the suspect was detained roughly 200 metres away within half an hour of the attack. Police say the incident is not linked to terrorism or organised crime, and are investigating whether a personal debt dispute may have been the motive.
