Pakistan's government has cut the price of petrol by four rupees (Pakistani currency) per litre to Rs377.79, effective immediately for the week ending June 12, citing shifts in global oil prices. High-speed diesel (HSD), widely used in freight transport and considered the country's most inflationary fuel, was kept unchanged at Rs380.78 per litre, with the government adjusting taxes and levies to hold the rate steady. The petrol reduction marks the fourth consecutive weekly cut, bringing cumulative savings to around Rs37 per litre since the recent easing cycle began.
